ABOUT US
The Material Needs Team gathers twice a week for maraudes in Paris handing out supplies including hot foods, drinks and clothes. The aim of the team is to provide practical aid in the form of necessities for the Asylum Seekers in need in Paris.
OUR MISSION
We strive to bring a bit of light into the lives of the Asylum Seekers in our communities in the most practical ways. A coat and a warm drink may not feel like much, but we believe a lot of small positive actions accumulate, and we are happy to be part of the aid effort on the Parisian streets.

BEATRICE FORESTAN
Hello, I’m Beatrice Forestan, an Italian student pursuing a master’s degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action. Through my efforts, I aim to convey the perspective that refugees are just people like us with their own needs and aspirations that deserve recognition. I am committed to working towards a fair and equitable world for all!
ASHER HANSEN
Hi! I’m Asher Hansen, an American student doing a bachelor’s exchange at SP. My research is in the anthropology of migration and the social experiences of migrants to Europe. I think the human-contact aspect of this work is way too often overlooked and has real community and social value!
