Who we are

Sciences Po Refugee Help (SPRH) is a student-led association founded in 2015 in response to the European refugee crisis. What began as a grassroots initiative to provide emergency humanitarian assistance in street camps around Paris has since grown into a dynamic, multidisciplinary network dedicated to supporting refugees, asylum seekers, and displaced people.

At the heart of SPRH lies a simple conviction: true integration begins with human connection. Our volunteers work hand in hand with families, individuals, students and partner organisations to accompany people on the move through every step of their journey, from administrative support and material aid to French lessons, social activities and raising awareness.

Over the years, SPRH has evolved into a structure of five interconnected poles, allowing our work to remain flexible and responsive to changing realities on the ground. Each team contributes to the same goal: promoting dignity, inclusion, and solidarity through tangible action.

More than just an aid organisation, SPRH is also a platform for dialogue and awarenesswithin the Sciences Po community and beyond. Through conferences, educational projects, and advocacy efforts, we strive to foster empathy, understanding, and active citizenship in the face of global displacement.

Every volunteer, every project, and every encounter reflects our core belief: that small, consistent acts of solidarity can create meaningful change.

OUR TEAM

The Board is at the head of the association's organizational structure. In this sense, it is in charge of coordinating the work of all the different teams.

The Board, along with the coordinators, also oversees each team's activities. Our association is currently structured with five teams each with a specific focus to combat different obstacles in the lives of people on the move.
