The Board


Composed of a President, a Vice President, a Secretary General, a Treasurer and a Communications Director.


The Board is at the head of the association’s organizational structure. In this sense, it is in charge of coordinating the work of all the different teams.


Each year, the Board generates an Activity Report to reflect the association's overall work and impact, in order to summarize the work done by our volunteers, and allow future members of the association to do their best to ensure our activities are as well thought out and concretely implemented as possible.


The work of the Board is also reflected through various communication material, networking efforts with institutions or press contacts, as well as its role as incubator for new initiatives and projects.

Communication


The Communication Team bases its work upon three main pillars: awareness, advertisement, and funds. As an organisation operating in a field where Human Rights are at stake, raising awareness is one of the main missions of our whole association.


Wishing to break away from the highly politicised aspect of such a domain, our communication is thought out to be informative and accessible, rooted in a humanitarian rights-based approach.


We work on the visibility of the fundraising campaigns, our actions and all the events organized by Sciences Po Refugee Help.

Finance


Running an association like Sciences Po Refugee Helps means a lot of financial tracking and reporting. Thankfully, our Finance Team - represented by our Treasurer - liaises with all volunteers making purchases, asking them to fill out reimbursement sheets, using mobile apps to immediately scan and send receipts, detailing items procured, applying discounts, and consolidating all of this information in a live Budget.


Once finished, the budget will be publicly shared, at the end of each spending period, to complement our narrative reporting efforts (like our Newsletter or Activity Reports) and guarantee associative transparency to donors, partners and members.


The Finance Team is also responsible for researching and applying to various grants, allowing us to finance our activities in the short and long term.
